Wednesday 21 May, Vancouver to Hedley

Up early for breakfast in the dining room and then we leave cabin 7059 for the last time. Waiting in the Ocean Bar with others from our group.
Our pink tag group are advised that we can leave now, so head off the ship, gather up our luggage in the terminal and breeze through Customs. Thankfully there is wifi in the terminal so I message Vicki that I am heading out to wait for them in front of the nearby hotel. Starbucks is right next door so Im able to access more free wifi while I wait. Jo has now come through the coach entrance after depositing her suitcase on the coach which will take her to the airport tonight. We have a cuppa in Starbucks and are soon joined with about 8 others from our group who are all deciding how they will fill their day before heading to the airport tonight. Its only a bit after 9am so there is no rush to go anywhere just yet. However, my ride arrives, I farewell the group again, we've had more farewells in the last 24 hours than Dame Nellie Melba! My luggage us bundled into the car and off I head with Vicki and Joe , out of the city and aimed towards Hedley. Stopped to check out an amazing hedge as we left the city.
Had a late lunch in Princeton. The burger was ginormous and I couldn't quite fit it all in.
We finally arrived in Hedley and home sweet home for the next 3 weeks. We were all very tired by this time so had a s rest, and then it was time for a margarita as we unpacked the case I brought from home for Vicki and Joe. First out of the case was a kilo of Vegemite that Amalia bought and sent for them. When finally unpacked and items spread everywhere, we all decided we were not at all hungry so finished our drinks and headed to bed. I'm looking forward to a good night's sleep without any rock and roll of the ship.

  1. Correction. Vegemite is not for "them". It is for "her".
