We had a lovely wander through the gardens after the show and as most people left after the light show it was almost like we had the place to ourselves. Eventually we found our way back to the Main Street and approached the taxi rank, where being good Aussies we took the first vehicle in the rank, but turned out it was a ‘private limousine’ company and were charged almost 3 times as much for the return journey as we did to get there. Lesson learned. You don’t have to take the first taxi you see when in Singapore. Anyway, back at the hotel we go for a night cap in the lounge where the duo from last night were again singing. Stayed and listened to them for a while and then back t9 our room for some reading and then lights out. Has been a lovely day and expect more of the same tomorrow.

Singapore evening
After our rest up in our room it was time for dinner so we went to the hotel restaurant and both ordere the Hainese Chicken Rice which is a Singapore specialty. It was really nice but I couldn’t eat it all. Oh yeah, we also had a white wine! Taxi to Gardens by the Bay where we found out we were too late for entry into any of the conservatories, but no matter as we were in good time for the light and sound spectacular which was just that, spectacular and lasted 15 minutes. The music was exceptional and the light display the best I’ve seen of its kind.
