Aaahhh this is the life. Sitting sipping on a cheeky little Chardy after a plateful of butter chicken in the Qantas lounge. Can almost imagine not going anywhere else... Nah, only joking. Just waiting on our 4pm Emirates flight to Dubai. Jan, aka Pricess Shiny Bright, dutifully picked me up at 7am for our ride to the airport. Cold, wet weather and lots of traffic on the road, but once at the airport, straight through the International connection check in. Luggage goes all the way to Dubai and I already have my boarding pass for both legs of the journey. A lovely hot cup of coffee while we wait, and the compulsory alcohol duty free shopping, then it's time to board. Jo's flight from Canberra was delayed an hour, but she still managed to get to Sydney a bit before me so was able to meet me at my gate. Easy through Immigration and straight to Qantas lounge. Wonder what the cattle class are doing??? Jo and I currently acting like teenagers with both of us on our electronic devices. Youth is soooooo wasted on the young 👯. Our next update should be from Dubai after our 14 1/2 hour flight. GIVE ME STRENGTH....
