- After a few fitful hours sleep we finally got ourselves rallied sufficiently to make it downstairs for breakfast just after 10 am, which was just as well as it closed at 10.30. Being Ramadan, the restaurant had screens up across the foyer so that you couldn't see in. It was very quiet to say the least, but a lovely collection of lots of different choices. Back to our room where I called Craig to make arrangements for our catch up later in the afternoon. We took a taxi to the Mall of the Emirates and wandered around there for a couple of hours. It is a big place and tons of high end name brand stores, but nothing that got either of us excited about. Not a lot of people about either, so no crowds to deal with. There is merit to being here during Ramadan, that's for sure, however it is darn hot each time we poke our noses outside air conditioned buildings or transport.
We drove around so many places that I can't remember them all. Each one different and equally as stunning as the previous one. So much development going on everywhere. Not convinced I want to live here just yet, but would certainly consider buying property here if I had a spare half million plus going begging. We've had a great afternoon and even managed to find our way back to the hotel via the Metro, which is a sky train. Time for a cuppa and put our feet up for an hour before we head off to dinner and then we are out again to meet up with Craig for drinkies at Souk Madinat.
I will finish for now with a view from our room... Just breath taking!

Craig loves to show off Dubai so just enjoy it. The heat is amazing but so is the cooling so hope you cope. Wish we were there with you. Love Kay
