Sea day

No idea why, but we both had a bad night's sleep. The morning is grey and drizzly so won't be sitting out in the balcony any time soon. Then some rain but not for long. Julie talked me into a brisk walk around the decks. It was bracing to say the least so I only managed 1 1/2 laps. Hard to find a seat in any of the lounges again but snagged one in the Wheelhouse bar. Okay, it is only 11.30 but it had to be 5 o'clock somewhere so I'm happy sipping my Dirty banana drink, people watching. Julie finished her walk and we headed off for lunch. I had the calamari entree followed by a lovely seafood Jambalaya. No room for dessert.
More wandering at large around the ship and then it is well and truly time for an Irish coffee, my first coffee for the day but not he first alcohol. We headed to the afternoon quiz and sat with a couple who it transpires I knew more answers than them! More wandering, and eventually time for dinner. It's a formal night but not everyone dresses up, and then there are the handful of women in ball gowns and men in their suits that I'm sure they wear to their secret Masonic Lodge meetings (minus the aprons)! Dinner was good and I had a seafood vol au vant and then a chicken scallopine. No dessert for me again.
We went to listen to the karaoke for a while and it certainly was a mixed bag of performances. Unfortunately (?) we left before Karen from Adelaide took to the mike as we wanted to see the stage show of I Got the Music. It wasn't the best but it's something to do and filled the evening. Listened to a duo for a short while but time for bed as we have an early start in the morning for a tour of Napier at 8.15. Should have heaps of photos from tomorrow's tour of all the murals.
