L’ma Lodge - 9 May

Very quiet overnight and a reasonable night's sleep. Neither of us died during the night falling down the stairs so that is a win in my book. We head out for breakfast on the terrace and contemplate the day ahead. Back in our rooms we do some hand washing and find a suitable tree to hand our smalls and not so smalls to dry. Time to have a good look around this lovely complex. Finding a suitable spot in the shade is a good opportunity to catch up on the blog as there was little to no wifi in the desert. Lots of laughs in doing so, remembering what we have been up to. Julie is my proof reader to remind me if I have things in the right order. All the typos remain as they are as it is too time consuming in correcting them all. Julie is concerned that she is depicted as an idiot but I have told her that it is my blog and if she wants a different version, she can create her own blog! Lots more laughing follows... We are both really impressed with how well set out the grounds are. VJR would in her element adding giraffes and chooks, etc to many of the secluded garden settings. Julie and I have determined not to use any of the cushion areas as tempting as they are, as we will never get up! The morning has been spent doing nothing.
We decide against lunch so instead opt for coffee in the lounge. It is now time for a swim in the heated pool. Just what the doctor ordered. A couple of hours later, time for a shower and change for happy hour which means another bottle of rose in our favourite lounge area before dinner. This truly is the life! Then it is time for dinner where we have pumpkin soup, followed by turkey and orange salad, followed by beef and zucchini tangine.. Dessert was a chocolate topped custard cake but I ate that before I thought to photograph it. Oops... Back to our rooms and time for bed. This full day of catching up on doing very little was just what we needed after the camel and camping saga.

  1. That last pictured cushioned seating area, I'd be quite happy to not get up from. Spectacular. Hmmm...off into the garden to find a spot for carpets, cushions, and cool looking low wooden tables
